Amos Abplanalp is a humble and kind man battling cancer. As friends of the family, we have seen the emotional, physical, and financial toll that this disease has taken on them. They did not seek us out to raise money for them but we've seen this tremendous burden of debt and want to help. He is an incredible husband, father, and friend. He serves his community by serving as the Bishop in his church congregation. This is an unpaid position requiring thousands of hours for teaching sermons, working with Boy Scouts, planning and implementing programs for youth welfare and education and many others. This position is physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging for a healthy person; even more so for someone who is courageously battling cancer. In addition to his religious duties, he serves in a local prison as a counselor to inmates. Each day he seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of those he councils. He is devoted to his wife and children and endeavors to spend as much quality time with them as possible. Amos is a good friend. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He and his family are examples that life can hit you repeatedly, and even knock you down from time to time, but you don't give up. You keep fighting for good. You serve others. You don't focus on what you can't do, but rather on what you can do. One Team. One Fight.
